UPtoberfest 2024
Join us in Escanaba's beautiful Ludington Park, on the shores of Lake Michigan, to sample an array of regional craft beers, wines and meads from the UP and beyond! Grab your keepsake UPtoberfest pint glass and make your way through the giant tent filled with vendors sampling their wares. This is a great opportunity to try new beers, wines and meads and revisit old favorites. Local legends ToHuBoHu (our House Band) provide the soundtrack for the day. Outside the tent you can play lawn games with your friends and take pics at the UPtoberfest photo station. Wells Lions Club will be there cooking up delicious brats, Polish sausages and nachos -- all included in the price of your ticket!
Your safety is important to us, so we offer free taxi rides for anyone who needs one. We also allow Designated Drivers to attend the festival at a reduced ticket price of $25 (those tickets will be sold at the gate). DD's can enjoy the food, music, games and fun along with everyone else, and non-alcoholic beverages will be provided.
A few other things to know: IDs will be checked for EVERYONE, including DD's. You may not enter the event without an ID! No one under 21 will be admitted. Smoking and vaping are not allowed in the tent. You may smoke on the grounds outside the tent. There will be NO "Will Call" tickets this year. You must have a physical ticket (you can order physical or print at home) or a mobile ticket.
UPtoberfest is a volunteer-driven fundraising event between the Bay de Noc Brewers and the United Way of Delta county. Proceeds from UPtoberfest throughout the years have contributed nearly $140,000 to the United Way and other local causes! This year's event will support the United Way of Delta County's early childhood work, with a goal that all Delta County children enter school ready to learn. In addition to United Way, each year the committee chooses a secondary charity to support. This year's proceeds will also benefit Face Addiction Now (formerly Families Against Narcotics), in memory of Eric Mallard, son of United Way director Julie Mallard. Eric died from fentanyl poisoning in March 2024.
